The project for the reconstruction, restoration and new construction of the Latvian National Museum of Art involves the complete renovation of the historic building, as well as the construction of additional exhibition and storage spaces on two underground levels in the park area. The building is to be equipped with several mechanical ventilation systems with air handling units, as well as separate extraction systems for sanitary facilities and kitchen equipment. Automatic climate and air flow control is provided in the exhibition halls. Precise control of air temperature, humidity and air exchange is planned for the art storage areas.
