Disaster Management Centre in Madona
44 Skolas Street, Madona

The Disaster Management Centre building in Madona is part of the first full BIM (Building Information Modelling) Design&Build project in the history of the LAFI AVK department; under the contract, three State Fire and Rescue Service buildings in Madona, Līvāni and Daugavpils were designed simultaneously. The project was developed using Magicad for Revit software. Active attributes and technical information for the project’s equipment were provided in accordance with the VNĪ BIM guidelines. A underfloor heating system was installed in the building with a total pipe length of approximately 8 km. The building’s heating is provided by LG Therma V ARUM300 heat pumps with a total heating capacity of 66 kW. Ventilation is provided by two VTS air handling units, and a Fumex AFSA vehicle fume extraction system has been installed in the fire engine garage. ACO Multiline Seal linear channels have been installed in the garage and car wash areas to drain water into the external sewerage network. For safety, a cold water flow meter has been installed with an automatic shut-off of the building’s water supply in the event of an emergency.
