Disaster Management Centre in Daugavpils
20 Siguldas Street, Daugavpils

The Disaster Management Centre building in Daugavpils is part of the first full BIM (Building Information Modelling) Design&Build project in the history of the LAFI AVK department; under the contract, three State Fire and Rescue Service buildings in Madona, Līvāni and Daugavpils were designed simultaneously. The project was developed using Magicad for Revit software. Active attributes and technical information for the project’s equipment were provided in accordance with the VNĪ BIM guidelines. The building features an underfloor heating system with a total pipe length of approximately 7.5 km, powered by LG Therma V ARUM300 heat pumps with a total heating capacity of 66 kW. Ventilation is provided by VTS air handling units, whilst a Fumex AFSA vehicle exhaust extraction system has been installed in the garage. ACO Multiline Seal linear channels have been installed in the garages and car wash areas to drain water into the external sewerage network. For safety, a cold water flow meter has been installed with automatic shut-off of the building’s water supply in the event of an emergency.
