Lafivents specialists in Sweden are installing a new BMS system at the K-rauta shopping centre
To reduce electricity and heat consumption, Lafivents specialists in Umeå, Sweden, have installed a new building management system (BMS) at the K-rauta shopping centre.
Lafivents has upgraded the building’s control and automation system. The aim of the upgrade is to centrally control and monitor the building’s engineering systems. Independent remote monitoring of the system, correct control parameters and operating algorithms will ensure that the system operates more energy-efficiently than before the refurbishment.
The renovated building automation system includes:
- Heating plant control;
- Control of air handling units;
- Control of outdoor lighting, including lighting groups for the car park, advertising, the façade and the warehouse building;
- Control of room air blowers.
The building automation system has been implemented using DEOS controllers and software. System control is provided by the Open Web programme. The VPN access solution ensures secure remote system control and monitoring via an internet connection. The software’s data archiving function enables the analysis of historical data, allowing for more accurate decisions regarding system operation. For added convenience, the software is equipped with a Logbook function that records user actions. The built-in Event Server immediately notifies responsible users of alarm situations by sending text messages or emails.
